The View at the Palm in Dubai offers stunning panoramic views of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah and the city’s skyline. But is it really worth visiting? In this firsthand review, we’ll show you why the observation deck is absolutely worth it – and what you should keep in mind when booking your tickets.
What can you expect at The View at the Palm?
You’ll be standing 240 meters above the ground, right above the Palm Jumeirah. From here, you’ll get an incredible view of one of the most iconic landmarks in Dubai – the artificial palm-shaped island.
Located in the Palm Tower in southern Dubai, this is one of the city’s most spectacular observation decks. Unlike the observation platforms at the Burj Khalifa, The View not only shows you the skyline. It lets you experience the unique shape of the Palm Jumeirah from an entirely new perspective – and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
The attraction has two different levels. You’ll reach them via an elevator that takes you up after a short walk through a multimedia exhibition about the creation of the island.
How do you access the observation deck?
You’ll need to book your ticket in advance. With the standard ticket*, you can only access Level 52. From there, you’ll enjoy the view through large glass windows. If you add Level 54 to your ticket*, you’ll get access to the open-air rooftop terrace with an unobstructed 360-degree view.
Our tip: Book access to both levels in advance to get the most out of your visit.*

Why is the rooftop terrace on Level 54 better?

There’s no glass to block your view on Level 54. You’ll be standing outdoors on a spacious rooftop terrace with a panoramic view in every direction. The railing is low, so you can easily take photos and videos without any reflections.
The view of Palm Jumeirah is stunning. You’ll see the island’s shape clearly, along with its beaches, luxury hotels and villas. In the distance, you can spot Dubai Marina, the big Ferris wheel at JBR, the Burj Al Arab and even the Downtown skyline with the Burj Khalifa rising above it all.
This level is also much quieter. When we visited, there were only a few other people around. You’ll find plenty of space to take great photos. No crowds, no waiting behind glass. Our video gives you a full preview of what to expect.
What does Level 52 offer?

Level 52 is located just below the rooftop terrace. From here, you look out through tall glass panels at the island, the sea and Dubai’s skyline. The view is still great, but it doesn’t feel as open as on the rooftop. This level is also busier. You’ll often need to wait to get a spot by the windows. On the plus side, there’s a café. So if you’re in the mood for an ice cream or a drink with a view, this is a good place to pause and relax.
Our verdict: Is The View at the Palm worth it?
Yes – but only if you go up to the rooftop terrace. If you want to experience Dubai from a different angle, this platform is a must. Seeing the Palm from above is a truly unique experience.
Our clear recommendation: Book the ticket that includes Level 54 access*. It’s worth it. You’ll get a spectacular view that you won’t find anywhere else in Dubai.
