Global Village in Dubai – Our Experience and Top Tips

Global Village in Dubai is one of the city’s most popular attractions. The vast site brings together pavilions from around the world, along with food, shows, and amusement rides. In this article, we’ll show you what to expect on site, how to get there, and whether the visit is really worth it.

Is a Visit to Global Village in Dubai Worth It?

Yes, visiting Global Village in Dubai is definitely worth it. The site offers a unique mix of culture, food, entertainment, and atmosphere. Especially in the evening, the entire area transforms into something truly special that’s hard to find elsewhere in Dubai.

Our Visit to Global Village in Dubai

We were a bit skeptical at first, but we decided to visit Global Village anyway. Since it’s located outside the city center, we drove there with our rental car*. The drive was straightforward, and there is a huge parking area right in front of the entrance. If you’re not driving yourself, you can simply book a transfer with ticket* and enjoy a relaxed arrival.

Even from the highway, you can already see the fairytale-like buildings and the glowing main entrance. The atmosphere as you arrive is truly impressive.

Impressions from Global Village in Dubai

We were amazed the moment we stepped inside. The pavilions are huge and impressively designed. Each area represents a different country and showcases traditional products, food, and cultural highlights. The atmosphere is particularly special – it feels like taking a world tour in a single evening.

We had the impression that many of the pavilions were run by people from the respective countries. In the Japanese pavilion, for example, Japanese staff were behind the counters, and in the Turkish pavilion, we were welcomed by Turkish vendors. Inside the pavilions, there were not only products for sale but also art, traditional dance, and live performances. In the Chinese pavilion, we even saw a dance show on the rooftop terrace. You can see that performance in the video above.

Food Experience at Global Village

Global Village also offers a lot when it comes to food. In the country pavilions, you’ll find traditional dishes from all over the world. Beyond that, there are countless street food stands serving snacks from a wide range of cultures. We tried several and were truly impressed. Everything we tasted was fresh and absolutely delicious.

Rides and Attractions Across the Festival Grounds

A large part of the area is dedicated to the amusement park experience. There are rides for both kids and adults, live music stages, and plenty of extra attractions. One of our personal highlights was the 4D cinema – it was a lot of fun.

Even though we spent several hours there, we didn’t manage to see everything. The grounds are simply too big. The layout reminded us a little of Oktoberfest in Munich, with its large tents and attractions – only here it feels much more international.
