Lloret de Mar is, for many, the most well-known spot on the Costa Brava. We, too, have taken more than one youth trip here to party. And every time we return to the Costa Brava, there’s usually a reason to spend at least one day in this party hotspot.

Catamaran Cruises in Lloret de Mar – BBQ, Drinks, and Party Vibes On Board
Catamaran trips are especially popular because BBQ and drinks are included. During the cruise, you can relax on the net at the bow and enjoy the stunning views of the Costa Brava coastline. Music plays on board as you sail past cliffs and coves.
After about an hour, the boat stops in a quiet cove where you can swim, snorkel, or unwind on a floating mat. Throughout the trip, there’s a barbecue and plenty of drinks. You can book the catamaran tour online here*.
Boat Tour Along the Costa Brava to Tossa de Mar
Another popular option is the boat tour along the coast, where you’ll discover stunning coves and beaches that are only accessible by sea. The ferry departs from Lloret and takes about 45 minutes to reach Tossa de Mar.
Once there, you can disembark to explore the picturesque fishing town. Stroll through the medieval streets, visit the castle, or relax on the beach surrounded by rock formations. Alternatively, you can stay on board and return to Lloret. You can book the boat tour here*.
Kayak Tours Along the Coast – Pure Nature and Adventure on the Water
One of the most beautiful activities on the Costa Brava is a kayak tour along the coast. The tour is easy and suitable for everyone, including families with children, as stable double kayaks are used, which are simple to handle.
Before setting off, the guide explains all the important details about navigation and safety. The route takes you along picturesque coastal sections that are often difficult to access otherwise. For those interested in gambling, Lloret offers two main options. The Gran Casino Costa Brava provides a classic casino atmosphere with poker, roulette, and slot machines. Families and younger visitors, on the other hand, can have fun at Magic Park. This amusement park offers a mix of arcades, attractions, and entertainment for all age groups.
Water World – Fun and Adrenaline at Lloret de Mar’s Water Park
A true highlight in Lloret is Water World, a water park that spans over 140,000 square meters. With 15 exciting water slides, it offers the perfect blend of adrenaline and relaxation. It’s ideal for families with children, who will have endless fun here.
We’ve visited Water World twice and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of attractions, from the wave pool to thrilling slides like X-trem Mountain. The park has something for everyone, from adventurous rides to relaxing pool areas.
Go-Kart Track Just Outside the City
The Karting Formula Lloret go-kart track is a real institution in Lloret. We raced there many years ago, and it’s always a blast. Both beginners and experienced drivers can test their skills on the track. There are karts for both adults and children, so everyone can join in. If you’re up for an exciting race, this is the perfect chance to get your adrenaline pumping. You can easily book your tickets on the Karting Formula Lloret website.

Legendary Clubs and Nightclubs in Lloret de Mar
We haven’t visited the clubs in a few years, but it’s interesting to see that not much has changed. Legendary mega-clubs like Tropics, Londoner, Moef Gaga, Revolution, St. Trop, and Hollywood have been around for over five decades in some cases – truly record-breaking! This town is the ultimate party hotspot on the Costa Brava. So, if you’re looking to party, you’ll find the biggest selection right here.
Some of these clubs even attract international star DJs during the high season, making the party atmosphere even more spectacular. Whether you’re into electronic music, pop, or Latin rhythms – Lloret has something for every music taste.
Cultural Highlights

One of the most remarkable sights is the Fortress of Sant Joan, perched on a hill overlooking the sea. From here, you’ll have a fantastic view of the coastline and the chance to explore a piece of history.
Moreover, the town boasts a charming old town with narrow streets and countless shops that invite you to stroll and shop. A special highlight is the colorful Sant Romà Church, which is definitely worth a visit. The palm-lined beach promenade with the town hall is another beautiful part of the city, perfect for a relaxing walk along the sea.
Weekly market in Lloret de Mar

This year, we returned to visit the large weekly market, which takes place every Tuesday from 9 AM to 1 PM on Avinguda del Rieral. Here, you’ll mostly find textiles, but there are also local agricultural products like honey available.
Parking in Lloret de Mar
In previous years, there were always plenty of parking spaces along the beach promenade. However, even here, finding a spot during the high season wasn’t easy. These parking spaces have since been removed.
This year, for our walk through the old town, we used the large paid parking lot Aparcament Sa Caleta at the eastern end of the beach. We had to be patient and wait in line. Since the beach parking lot was full, one car had to leave before the next could enter. The entire process took about 30 minutes.
