ITB Berlin 2025 is the world’s largest travel trade show and the perfect opportunity to discover exciting new destinations for upcoming trips. We attended the event to gather inspiration for future travels and explore the most exciting travel trends.
This year, Albania took center stage at the fair. As the official host country, it showcased its diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Some of our friends from Albania have been telling us for years how stunning the country is. Maybe it’s finally time to experience it for ourselves.
But Albania wasn’t the only country that caught our attention. Many other destinations at the tourism fair sparked our curiosity. In this article, we share the travel destinations that inspired us the most.
Host Country Albania at ITB Berlin 2025 – An Underrated Travel Destination with Great Potential

Our first stop at ITB Berlin 2025 was the Albania booth. We took a closer look at the country’s travel opportunities and explored various itinerary options.
Many travelers have yet to discover Albania as a tourist destination, but that might change soon. The country offers a fascinating mix of towering mountains, pristine beaches, and historic cities.
Albania is perfect for those who want to combine nature, culture, and adventure in one trip. Mass tourism is still limited, making it even more appealing. However, ITB Berlin 2025 clearly showed that more and more travelers are starting to take notice. Perhaps it won’t remain a hidden gem for much longer.
Northern Europe as a Travel Destination – Natural Wonders and Endless Landscapes

The far north of Europe has fascinated us for a long time. We have already embarked on road trips through Iceland, Norway, and Scotland. Each of these countries captivates with its untouched nature and breathtaking landscapes.
One destination is still missing from our list: Sweden. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a booth for it at the exhibition, or perhaps we simply overlooked it. Maybe it wasn’t centrally located, or it had a smaller presence. The ITB is massive, and it’s easy to miss something.
From Asia to the Middle East – Our Decision for the Spring Trip

For our spring trip, we quickly decided that this time we wanted to head south. So we took a closer look at destinations in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
One of the most exciting sections at ITB Berlin 2025 was the exhibition hall featuring Asian countries. There was so much to discover. We have already visited Japan and Thailand, and we seriously considered whether Vietnam would be the perfect destination for our next road trip. It was high on our list, but in the end, we decided against it. Here you can find our thoughts on possible spring travel destinations.

Instead, we chose the Emirates. The country, with its world-famous cities Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
has been on our bucket list for a long time. Now, the time has finally come.
The exhibition featured some fascinating booths. In addition to the Emirates, neighboring countries such as Jordan,
Saudi Arabia, and Qatar also showcased their travel offerings. We gathered a lot of information on the attractions
and will take a closer look at them when we get home.
Our road trip through the Emirates is already fully booked and planned. Here you can find our complete itinerary. While exploring ITB Berlin 2025, we also discovered many other exciting regions. The exhibition halls featuring destinations from India, Africa, and South America particularly inspired us.
ITB Berlin Travel Trends 2025 – An Endless Source of Travel Inspiration
ITB Berlin 2025 is massive, and it’s nearly impossible to see everything in just one day. But that’s exactly what makes it so valuable. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather fresh ideas for future road trips right in our hometown.
To wrap up our visit, we made one last stop at the Austria booth. Before we set off for the Arabian Peninsula, we’re making a short trip to the ski slopes of Vorarlberg. This way, we’ll say goodbye to winter with a few days in the mountains before our next adventure begins.
