🌍 Planning your own road trip?
We share the tools and providers we personally use for our road trips. From flights, accommodation and rental cars to activities, eSIMs, transfers and practical tools for the road.
Our Travel Journey Planning
Every travel journey begins with choosing our travel dates. Once these are set, we select a region that captures our interest. It’s important to us to experience something new and to visit spectacular places.
After deciding on a region, we start researching flights. Next, we create an exciting travel itinerary. Along the route, we include captivating excursions, activities, and sights.
Once the itinerary, activities, and excursions are planned, we move on to finding great hotels along the way. Finally, we book our rental car, as most of our travel journeys involve flying to our destination and then exploring by rental car.
Benefit from Our Travel Reports
Take advantage of our comprehensive travel reports. On our pages, you’ll find a wealth of helpful reports, tips, and tools that make planning your own travel journey easier. Discover which hotels we booked and recommend, as well as which activities are worth it and which you can skip. Since we’ve experienced each journey ourselves, we share our insights directly with you.
We also provide valuable information on how to handle payments abroad. You’ll learn which credit cards are especially suitable for travel journeys or even come with no fees. This way, you can save time on research and find great deals.
About Our Travel Journeys

We try to travel as often as possible, exploring new regions each time. Since our time on each trip is limited, we plan carefully to make the most of it. The internet is, of course, a helpful tool for this.
However, in many areas, the internet has also made smart advance planning essential. Tickets for exciting excursions and attractions are now often sold in advance, and a spontaneous visit to many top sites is no longer possible.
We recently experienced this firsthand at Mount Teide in Tenerife. The offline tickets for the cable car to the summit were sold out by 10:00 a.m. Unfortunately, we only found out after waiting in line for a long time, just a few steps away from where the last ticket was sold. Most of the tickets had already been sold online well in advance. Learn more about us.
We wish you lots of fun planning your own journey—and, of course, an exciting trip!
